Successful projects include:

  • In progress – This comprehensive online training and education hub, Code Recover, will provide a framework to incorporate Recovery Peer Support Specialists (RPSS) into Emergency Department (ED) settings for patients with opioid use disorder. This project will empower EDs nationwide to implement and optimize RPSS programs, leading to improved patient care, reduced recidivism, and more efficient utilization of ED resources.

  • In progress – This national web resource is a comprehensive guide to facing alcohol use disorder, with distinct units for those seeking treatment, those in early recovery, and those wishing to change their relationship with alcohol. The site provides contextual framework for understanding alcohol addiction, identifying one’s own situation and setting goals, finding appropriate care, and building a practical toolkit of strategies to sustain early recovery.

  • This one-year project with Mobilize Recovery orchestrated behavioral wellness and substance use prevention and recovery programming for eleven flagship events at colleges and universities across the United States, coordinating 40+ partners and stakeholders and reaching thousands of students.

  • A national network of locally-based organizations focused on substance use and mental health, Community Partners Network (CPN) helps end addiction in the United States by bringing together partners from every community to exchange ideas and spark opportunities for impact. Liz founded this network in 2020 and built it to more than 250 organizations before transitioning its management to Partnership staff.

  • This one-year project examined the structure, mission, operations, and relative position of Mobilize Recovery and engaged in a planning process to optimize the organization’s long- term goals and stability.

  • This guide for parents and other caregivers shares research-based best practices and resources with the goal of fostering positive child development and helping children lead healthy, fulfilling lives. Liz worked with Partnership to End Addiction’s prevention experts and content staff to translate their academic research into a parent-friendly guide incorporating content from multiple national partners, including an accompanying webinar.

  • Active from 2014-2023, PGDF’s Mission Grants program invested over $2.4M in grants to support increased options, elevated awareness, and facilitated access to recovery from alcohol addiction. Those funds presented educational events and resources on AUD to the public that reached over 100,000 people; funded three innovative pilot studies on novel strategies for treating AUD, opening new areas of scientific inquiry; supported AUD-related training and education for an estimated 800 leaders in the addiction field; and sponsored reduced-cost treatment, referral to treatment, or treatment-enhancing services for approximately 1,000 people. Liz was responsible for designing and implementing the program from creating calls for entry to assembling an expert review committee, to awarding and distributing funds and soliciting impact reports.
